WILMINGTON DELAWARE OSTOMY ASSOCIATION (WDOA)

Wilmington Delaware Ostomy Association  is committed to improving the quality of life for
people who have, or will have, an intestinal or urinary diversion (ostomates).


In support of this commitment:
       1. We work with the medical community and other organizations to provide the best care possible to ostomates and prospective ostomates, and to provide support to family members of ostomates.
       2. We conduct regular meetings for the purpose of sharing information on caring for, and living with, an ostomy
       3. We issue newsletters to WDOA members and various members of the medical community


WDOA is affiliated with the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc.   We are organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and qualify as a tax-exempt organization under section   
​501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  




NEXT MEETING :  SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 at 7PM
Our meetings are open to ostomates, potential ostomates, temporary ostomates,
family members, medical personnel and caregivers.  
Support Group meetings are held  in person  at

OSTOMY CLOSETS OF DELAWARE
The WDOA in collaboration with Ostomy Nurse Volunteers, Community Recreation Centers of New Castle County & Beebe Healthcare operate Ostomy Closets of Delaware which offers donated unused excess ostomy equipment available at no cost to people living with an ostomy in need “urgent” supplies.   To find out more about Ostomy Closets of Delaware click on the following link: www.ostomycloset.org/

DONATING OSTOMY EQUIPMENT
Ostomy Closets of Delaware gratefully accepts ostomy supplies that are new & unused, not expired and have been stored in a smoke free environment.   Please CALL or TEXT (302-943-8089) or EMAIL ([email protected]) to arrange a date, time and place for you to meet with an Ostomy Closets of Delaware volunteer.   Donations left at an Ostomy Closet are not accepted

Friends of Ostomates Worldwide- USA (FOW-USA) 
collects new , unused  ostomy supplies donated by individuals and organizations in the US and sends supplies and educational resources, at no charge, to ostomates in need outside of the US.​  Equipment must be shipped to the FOW warehouse in Louisville KY.  For more information on donating to FOW-USA click on the following link:  www.fowusa.org/donate-supplies/

 Project C.U.R.E. is the world's largest distributor of donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in 138 countries.
